Total Data Support, LLC ("Total Data Support,) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of the personal information we collect from our customers, website visitors, and service recipients. This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you visit our website at www.totaldatasupport.com, contact us for service, bring in a device for repair or data recovery, or purchase products from us. By using our services or website, you agree to the practices described in this statement.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information in a variety of ways depending on how you interact with us. The categories of information we may collect include:

Personal Identification Information: When you contact us, schedule a service, or create an account, we may collect your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. This allows us to communicate with you about your service order, repair status, and any products you purchase.

Device and Technical Information: When you bring a device in for repair or data recovery, we collect details about the device itself, including the make, model, serial number, and a description of the issue. In certain cases — particularly during data recovery — our technicians may need to access the contents of the device to perform the requested service.

Payment Information: When you pay for services or products, we collect billing information such as credit or debit card details. Payment transactions are processed securely through third-party payment processors, and we do not store full card numbers on our systems.

Website Usage Data: When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies.

Communications: If you contact us via phone, email, or our website contact form, we retain records of those communications for customer service and quality assurance purposes.

How We Use Your Information

Total Data Support uses the information we collect for the following purposes:

Service Delivery: We use your personal and device information to perform computer repairs, data recovery, and other technology services you have requested. This includes diagnosing issues, sourcing parts, and communicating repair status updates.

Order Fulfillment: For product purchases made through our website or in-store, we use your information to process transactions, arrange delivery or pickup, and handle any returns or exchanges.

Customer Communications: We may use your contact information to send you service updates, appointment reminders, follow-up communications, and responses to inquiries. With your consent, we may also send promotional emails about new products, services, or special offers.

Website Improvement: We use website usage data to analyze traffic patterns, identify popular pages, and continuously improve the functionality and user experience of our website.

Legal Compliance and Safety: We may use your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to lawful requests from government or law enforcement authorities, and protect the rights, property, and safety of our business, employees, and customers.

Data Recovery and Device Access

Total Data Support specializes in data recovery from damaged, corrupted, or non-functional devices — including services that Apple and other manufacturers do not offer directly. In the course of performing these services, our certified technicians may need to access files and data stored on your device.

We treat all data accessed during service with the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism. Your data is accessed solely for the purpose of completing the service you requested. We do not copy, retain, sell, or disclose the personal contents of your device to any third party, except where required by law. Any recovered data is transferred to you securely, and we do not retain copies beyond the scope of service delivery.

Customers are encouraged to back up their devices before bringing them in for service whenever possible. Total Data Support is not responsible for data that cannot be recovered due to the nature or severity of device damage.

Sharing of Information

We respect your privacy and do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service Partners: We have established partnerships with companies such as Lenovo, Gillware, and PC-Doctor to extend the range of services and parts available to our customers. In cases where your repair requires involvement from a partner, we may share relevant device and contact information solely to facilitate the service.

Payment Processors: We use reputable third-party payment processors to handle transactions securely. These processors receive only the information necessary to complete the transaction and are bound by their own privacy and security standards.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our customers, staff, or the public.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your information.
